Salzburg, 1690-1803

From the Renaissance time, the former royal archdiocese Salzburg is one of the most important music centres north of the Alps. The venue for the varied musical activities was naturally the Cathedral. However, a rich musical heritage can also be traced to the St Peter Archabbey. The timeframe of the masterclass will be the time between Georg Muffat and the secularisation. All composers are linked to the Cathedral and the Court. Stylistically, the music is a perfect fit for the organ in Úterý.
