Rome, Venice, Salzburg, Wien, München: An Organ Trail in the south of Europe in the 17th century
The course covers the most important and the most significant stylistic aspects of the organ literature of Southern Europe, in particular the relations between Italy and Germany. In addition, it addresses and explores the practice of the basso continuo and improvisation, through the analysis of some of the most important theoretical sources of the seventeenth century.
